12 Dec A CHRISTMAS DRAWING
The Santa Casa da Misericórdia from O’Porto and Viarco present an exhibition at the Museu e Igreja da Misericórdia do Porto (MMIPO), and, as usual in this time of year, a Christmas Tree.
Viarco presents a small part of its archaeological treasure, and objects and tools retrieved from the production, leading the visitors to understand a little bit more about the pencil productive process.
For the Christmas tree we invited Diogo Pimentão that already had been at Viarco for an Artistic Residence, he created a 40 meters paper tree, with ArtGraf graphite drawings, called “Tree-Shade (Spiral)”.
This exhibition and the Christmas tree form Museu da Misericórdia do Porto were opened on December 7th, at 6:30pm, in Benfeitores gallery, and it can be visited until January 6th, 2019.
In addition to the objects and the machinery, the exhibition presents some artworks from artists that have a relationship with Viarco, and its materials: Agostinho Santos, André Gigante, Joana Gomes, José Emídio, Pascal Nordmann, Ricardo Pistola, Rui Ferreira, Samuel Rama e Xana Sousa.
